I know.
I know, I know.
You've come here looking to see the things I've made that I have for sale, but once again, the front page looks the same as it did a year ago, with one glittery "Jesus Loves Sluts" sticker that I clearly had manufactured...and nothing else.
Maybe you've seen one of my prototypes on social media or in person and are wondering where to find said item for yourself, only to come here and be disappointed...again.
In grand Canadian fashion, please allow me to say that I'M SORRY, and to offer both an explanation, as well as what I hope is a realistic look ahead.
Last summer, I stripped decades old, insufferable leopard print wallpaper off the walls of the room in my house that I desperately want to use as my workroom so I can finally make products, only to find that what was underneath required professionals (and a lot of money) to turn into a paintable surface.
While all of this was going on (I also had new windows put into the whole house, and the electrical panel needs to still be upgraded), I had to put all my existing product into storage so none of it would get messed up with all the debris kicking around, pausing all SunnyGrrrl business until the literal dust has settled.
Renovations started in the spring and are just finishing up now (October), then I'll be able to paint the room (um, pink? duh) and finally start adding back furniture, supplies and equipment.
I'm nervous and excited that the room is almost finished because once it is, there are no more excuses: I will be making and stocking products with my SunnyGrrrls on them, selling it at appropriate vendor's markets and hopefully, shipping it straight to YOU from SunnyGrrrl HQ! 😊
Except Maybe Not You, USA...
Unfortunately, due to tariffs that the US government is forcing on even lower value Canadian goods, I don't think I can ship to the United States anymore.
This makes me a very sad panda because half my audience happens to be perfectly lovely Americans who have always supported my work and never voted for any of this! I'm sorry your country is run by a bunch of miserable shits!
My art and products can't withstand a 35% price increase, and as much as I don't want to "punish" my American friends, followers, and fans, the process of shipping products to the US is now so convoluted it isn't worth it for me. Sending packages over the border was already complicated enough before all this!
So That's Where Things Are At...
- Waiting for renovations to be over.
- Can no longer ship to the US. Sorry!
Please sign up for my newsletter at the bottom of the page so you'll be the first to know when the shop officially reopens from an all-new SunnyGrrrl HQ or when I start shipping to the US again!
Thanks!
Sunny
